Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Warehouse Specialist I at the Austin State Hospital warehouse. This entry-level role supports Supply Services by ensuring patients and facilities receive necessary supplies through inventory control, receiving, and distribution tasks.

Under supervision, you will operate warehouse equipment, use multiple software systems for inventory control, and participate in COOP activities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Work experience using inventory control/receiving software or similar systems.
• Warehouse/inventory control experience preferred.
• Experience with forklift or other material handling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule.
• Review and pick items using tickets and bin labels; stage carts for outbound shipments.
• Load/unload stock using forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts; stock into racking and shelving.
• Deliver stock to ordering departments using state vehicle; perform data entry in inventory systems.
• Participate in COOP activation and maintain a safe warehouse environment.
