Job summary

Chesapeake Beverage Co. is seeking a Union Warehouse Forklift Operator (Day shift) to safely load, unload, and move shipments within our Nottingham, MD facility. You will operate forklifts, verify shipments, organize inventory, and help maintain a clean, safe warehouse.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification (preferred), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The role offers a day shift, Monday–Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with a $18.00 per hour starting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proven experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts safely (preferred).
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load and unload products from delivery trucks and containers.
• Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists and invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Organize, stack, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations to maintain order and optimize space.
• Package and label products for shipment according to company standards.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including work areas and equipment.
• Report any damaged or missing inventory to the Warehouse Manager promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report mechanical issues as needed.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks and duties as assigned by management.
