Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Associate in New York to perform order picking, packing, and shipping duties on a Tuesday–Saturday shift. You will use RF scanning, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and help maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced distribution center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years of related warehouse/distribution center experience preferred.
• Automated or RF warehouse experience beneficial.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (pallet jacks, cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts) as needed.
• Ability to work standing for long periods of time with frequent stooping or bending.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to be detail oriented, quality focused and self-motivated.
• Fluent in the English language with the ability to read and write preferred.
• Ability to work in coordination with other team members to accomplish goals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and standards.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Adherence to site safety regulations including wearing required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to process orders including picking, quality checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building pallets, packing, loading, and shipment prep.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and in outbound/inbound tasks.
• Receive large boxes, scan with RF scanner, and input data into computer.
• Break down cases and operate heavy equipment to replenish warehouse.
• Palletize items and wrap for shipment; pack small items into boxes.
• Operate equipment such as order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and comply with EHS requirements.
