Job summary

Ferguson is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Dayton, OH to safely pull, package and ship orders using stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks. You will verify incoming material, stock inventory, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include 0-3 years warehouse experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 90 lbs occasionally, and strong attention to detail. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory management is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a Valid Driver's license.
• Prior experience using forklift, order pickers and other material handling equipment is preferred.
• High attention to detail.
• Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment.
• Positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn our systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up forklifts (order selector/cherry picker), pallet jacks and overhead cranes to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.
• Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
• Clean the workspace as you go and participate with the team in keeping our facility clean, safe, and accident free.
• Be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
