Job summary

Ferguson in Livonia, MI is hiring a Warehouse Associate to pull and prepare outbound orders, operate stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks and overhead cranes, and keep the workspace clean and safe. Work Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm.

You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (90 lbs occasionally) and have 0–3 years in a warehouse. The role rewards dependability, detail, teamwork and a proactive approach in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory management is preferred.
• Prior experience using forklift, order pickers and other material handling equipment is preferred.
• High attention to detail.
• Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment.
• Positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn our systems quickly.
• Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs regularly and 90lbs occasionally.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up forklifts (order selector/cherry picker), pallet jacks and overhead cranes to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.
• Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
• Clean the workspace as you go and participate with the team in keeping our facility clean, safe, and accident free.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
