Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across the facilities. You will work as part of Local 95 union, perform preventive and general maintenance, document hours, and keep work areas safe and clean.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and a mechanical aptitude with carpentry/plumbing knowledge. A trade school background and a valid driver’s license are preferred/s required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a trade school program preferred.
• Carpentry, plumbing or mechanical skills beneficial.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude to assist various trades.
• Driver's license required.
• Act 34 clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install mechanical, structural and electrical equipment and systems in a support role to journeymen level craftsmen.
• Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor daily.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and equipment rooms.
• Perform general maintenance tasks and assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
• Follow infection control procedures and containment guidelines.
