Job summary

PIC-Precision Industrial is seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Welder and Fabricator to join our fast-paced shop environment. You will weld and fabricate structural steel, read blueprints, and operate fabrication equipment to ensure quality and on-spec parts.

Role requires 3+ years of structural welding, AWS D1.1 FCAW/GMAW skills, and ability to work safely with overhead cranes. Competitive pay and overtime opportunities are available with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural steel welding or fabrication experience.
• AWS D1.1 FCAW certification or ability to pass a weld test.
• Strong experience with FCAW and GMAW welding processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards.
• Experience with overhead cranes and rigging preferred.
• GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick) experience a plus.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings.
• Perform FCAW and GMAW welding to AWS D1.1 standards.
• Lay out, fit, align, tack, and weld structural steel components.
• Operate welding machines, grinders, and other fabrication equipment safely.
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Mark and identify materials and completed parts.
• Safely move materials using overhead cranes and hoists.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
• Support other fabrication shop activities as needed.
