Job summary

Staybridge Suites West Des Moines is seeking a dependable Room Attendant for the day shift to maintain clean and welcoming guest rooms. You will work independently, ensuring rooms meet our high standards and are ready for guests each day.

Starting pay is $15.00 per hour with shifts beginning at 8:00 AM. Typical schedule is 32–40 hours per week across about five days, with hours varying by occupancy and business levels. Open availability and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping or professional cleaning experience is preferred, but not required.
• Reliability, work ethic, attention to detail, consistency and willingness to learn are extremely important.
• Ability to start shifts at 8:00 AM and work 32–40 hours per week as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Change linens and make beds neatly and consistently.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and room surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors.
• Remove trash and replace liners.
• Replace towels, toiletries, and guest supplies.
• Check own work before leaving each room to ensure nothing is missed.
• Report maintenance problems promptly.
• Assist other housekeeping team members as needed.
