Job summary

Harborview Medical Center's Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for 100% FTE, day shift. This role supports advanced dental procedures, provides patient education and assists with IV sedation.

The RN will coordinate care for a diverse patient population, collaborate with clinicians, and participate in orientation and ongoing training to ensure high-quality, compassionate care in a busy specialty clinic.

Qualifications

• Active WA State or Multi-State RN license by start date.
• Minimum 2 years of acute or ambulatory care experience including wound care and sedation.
• Commitment to working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions.
• Assist the provider in performance of procedures, and as an independent provider of certain RN procedures.
• Provide direct care and assist in delivering preventive client-focused health services including assessment, education, intervention and counseling related to health maintenance and other assigned duties.
• Coordinates care for a group of patients, including the key element of continuity of care.
• Completion of Core Sedation training as part of orientation in order to assist with conscious sedation outpatient procedures.
• Float between OFMS and Epilepsy Clinics.
