Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the day shift in Virginia. The role involves supervising LPNs and CNAs, coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan.

The 13-week contract requires strong bedside skills and critical care experience for potential unit assignments. Responsibilities include timely admissions assessments, discharge planning, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Two years of bedside clinical experience is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be current prior to first shift.
• Experience in PCU or Critical Care is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs while maintaining care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions and responses in the medical record.
• Participate in patient rehab programs and provide direct care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission.
• Communicate status changes to the care team to ensure continuity.
• Delegate tasks to ancillary nursing staff and supervise.
• Ensure safety and compliance with hospital policies.
• Engage in unit operations and team-building activities.
• Communicate needs to management regarding supplies and training.
• Take charge nursing responsibilities after orientation.
• Pursue self-driven professional development.
