Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks a contingent nurse for a Day shift position to lead the coordination and delivery of high-quality patient care. You will use the nursing process from assessment to evaluation to guide care and teaching for patients and families.

The ideal candidate will have graduation from an accredited nursing program with BSN preferred, current Michigan licensure, and strong communication with patients and teams; BCLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Nurses must have clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to plan and evaluate care.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff.
• Graduate from accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Uses the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
