Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the patient care team. The role emphasizes leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate nursing services, with a focus on applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.

You will communicate with patients, families and hospital staff, participate in quality improvements, and support a model of evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
• Position: 36 hours per week
• Shift: Midnight 12 Hour Shifts
• Every other weekend and Holiday Rotations
