Job summary

Lafayette Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Detroit is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing care in our 59-bed skilled facility. The Charge Nurse will coordinate care with the Director of Nursing and clinical care coordinators to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care.

This role requires an active RN license and the ability to supervise CNAs, communicate with physicians, and document care.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license required.
• Adhere to Michigan DOH and Federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident conditions and develop care plans.
• Make rounds with physician; observe symptoms and reactions.
• Provide preventative, supportive, maintenance, and rehabilitative care.
• Administer medications as prescribed; monitor for contraindications.
• Coordinate with DON and CNAs; manage care documentation.
• Schedule appointments and document in records.
• Supervise CNAs and communicate with department heads as needed.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents; complete summaries.
• Participate in periodic regulatory surveys and Plan of Correction.
