Job summary

Glenwood, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse to support the Health Services Department in meeting the physical and emotional needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Severe Emotional Behavioral Disorder.

The role involves direct nursing care, team collaboration, and ongoing health monitoring in a multidisciplinary setting. The ideal candidate has an active Alabama nursing license, nursing degree, and experience in behavioral health and general medical nursing.

Qualifications

• RN license in Alabama and able to maintain licensure.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• 2+ years in behavioral health nursing (preferred).
• 2+ years in general medical nursing (preferred).
• Able to obtain MAS certification per Alabama requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to individuals served.
• Maintain medical records and documentation in the EHR.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and coordinate care.
• Administer medications following Nurse Practice Act and Glenwood policy.
• Communicate health information to families and guardians.
• Assist with coverage for on-call 24/7 nursing schedule.
