Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Staff Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, use the nursing process, and support the unit's standards of care while promoting patient-centered experiences.

Qualifications include a Texas RN license, BLS, and 12 months RN experience or Nurse Residency completion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program.
• Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures and nursing care standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directly supervise and collaborate with other assigned team members and multidisciplinary staff.
• Maintain age/developmentally appropriate care per unit standards.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and team members to ensure understanding of information.
• Contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment and accurate documentation of patient information.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Texas RN license

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
