Job summary

UofL Health in Shepherdsville, KY is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our patient-centered team. The role provides advanced respiratory care across the continuum, following established protocols and collaborating with physicians and nurses.

The ideal candidate will have an active Kentucky Respiratory Care Practitioner license, NBRC RRT credential, BLS and ACLS, and prior experience in critical care; new grads welcomed with timely credential attainment.

Qualifications

• Active license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (KBRC) required.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required; new grads have 6 months to obtain.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• ACLS required.
• One year of critical care experience preferred; new grads accepted.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers non-medicated aerosol and humidity therapy.
• Plans and administers oxygen therapy per protocol.
• Plans and administers aerosolized medication and specialty gas therapy.
• Performs airway management and ventilator support per orders.
• Provides patient and family education and participates in staffing.
