Twin City Health Care in Gas City, Indiana is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide to support our licensed nursing team by safely preparing and administering prescribed oral medications and documenting care per the plan of care. You will work day shift, ensuring accuracy and safety in every administration.

Ideal candidates are Indiana-certified QMAs with active training, a valid health certificate, and a commitment to following the approved training and scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Must be Indiana-certified as a Qualified Medication Aide.
• Must complete a state-approved training program in medication administration.
• Must possess a current health certificate/examination as required by state agencies.
• Must perform only duties taught in the approved training program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document prescribed oral medications for residents.
• Administer oral PRN drugs when authorized by a licensed nurse.
• Injectables must always be given by a licensed nurse.
• Take and record vital signs as required before administering certain medications.
• Do not accept telephone or verbal orders for medication administration.
• Perform only duties taught in the approved training program.
