Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Production Supervisor to provide direct leadership to hourly workers across all stages of manufacturing. The role emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement while meeting plant objectives.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and prior supervisory experience in manufacturing. It offers a day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with opportunities to travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory, leadership, or management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold employees accountable in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience managing production, safety, quality, staffing, and performance metrics preferred.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies preferred.
• Experience with employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and team development strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems.
• Ability to analyze operational data and utilize KPIs to drive decisions.

Aufgaben

• Provides direct leadership, coaching, and accountability for shift employees while fostering a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
• Responsible for employee performance management, including training, development, performance feedback, recognition, corrective action, and recommendations regarding hiring, promotion, transfer, and disciplinary actions in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Leads the shift and is accountable for achieving safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, inventory, and labor performance objectives.
• Resolves production, quality, and employee-related issues that arise during the shift with timely follow-up.
• Promotes employee engagement through effective communication, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and consistent policy application.
• Uses operational data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and implement actions enhancing safety and efficiency.
• Maintains a visible presence on the production floor and collaborates with teams to meet plant goals.
• Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and alignment with Graham Packaging values.
