Job summary

United Future in Bluffton, OH is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor for the Day Shift to lead a growing team on the shop floor. This role oversees up to 15 staff, partners with the General Manager, and ensures safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

With a recently expanded shift, the plant offers direct access to owners, a collaborative culture, and opportunities to improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of production supervision experience.
• Experience overseeing 10+ people in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Mechanical aptitude and forklift driving willingness; basic Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily production and monitor shop floor projects.
• Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate hourly workforce.
• Ensure shift safety, quality, and delivery goals are met.
• Maintain current inventory and monitor on-site inventory for projects.
• Coordinate with sales on quoting new business.
• Review shift paperwork and production numbers.
• Communicate project status to customers.
• Enter information into ERP system.
• Collaborate with quality on project inspections.
• Foster continuous improvement and scrap reduction initiatives.
• Drive forklift as needed to support floor activity.
• Confirm timesheets and vacations in timekeeping system.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
