Job summary

Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join the Stepdown/DOU team. The position is full-time with a 12-hour day shift schedule, rotating weekends and holidays, based at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

The PCA will assist patients with daily living activities, data collection, and maintain a safe, organized environment while working under the direction of a clinician. English fluency and AHA BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required for eligibility.
• One year of patient-related experience preferred.
• English language proficiency required for instruction and care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living.
• Provide patient care under supervision of a clinician.
• Support unit with logistics, clerical tasks, equipment, supplies, and charge reconciliation.
