Job summary

Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Transportation Assistant to join our dedicated team on the Day Shift. You will help residents travel to appointments and assist with daily tasks in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

This role offers a friendly workplace, opportunities to improve mobility for residents, and collaboration with the transportation scheduler and van driver. Prior caregiver experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Caregiver experience preferred.
• Ability to assist patients during transports and appointments.
• Willingness to assist residents with mobility tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with assigned tasks, including occasional toileting.
• Attend to residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, adhering to instructions provided by supervisory staff.
• Assume responsibility for pushing residents in their wheelchairs and accompanying them on medical appointments; must be able to push, pull, lift, bend, twist, and squat as needed.
• Provide exemplary customer service to residents, Grandview, and external facilities.
• Assist Transportation scheduler and van driver as needed for resident transports.
