Job summary

STERIS - Operations is seeking a Painter for day shift to apply powder or wet paint on components, ensuring finish quality. The role involves reading travelers/blueprints, operating paint systems, recording data, and adhering to 5S and safety policies. Overtime may be required and teamwork is essential to meet production goals.

You will work with lean manufacturing tools and stay compliant with shop floor control, documenting paint thickness and running quality checks during each shift.

Qualifications

• Two years of paint experience preferred.
• Proficiency reading travellers, blueprints and instructions.
• Must follow safety rules and wear PPE.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual paint equipment and automated paint systems.
• Read travellers and blueprints and interpret instructions.
• Record part counts and elapsed times on Shop Floor Control.
• Measure paint thickness and visually inspect parts.
• Maintain clean, orderly workspace following 5S.
• Report issues to supervisor promptly.
• Provide training support to other operators.
