Job summary

Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in Red Oak, TX is hiring a full-time Paint/Prep Technician to prepare vehicle surfaces for painting on work truck bodies and equipment. Shift runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience prepping metal surfaces for painting, lift up to 75 lbs, and work well in a team-focused environment. Benefits include PTO, holidays, 401k and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds.
• Previous experience prepping metal surfaces for painting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for paint per established standards.
• Fill and sand body imperfections as needed.
• Mask and protect vehicle surfaces.
• Pre-fit and drill bumpers, ladder racks and other holes as necessary.
