Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical City North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, TX. This full-time role offers day shifts with on-call requirements and a collaborative OR team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will evaluate patients pre-operatively, educate patients and families, prepare patients for surgery, verify surgical sites, and participate in time-out and debriefing procedures while upholding evidence-based

Qualifications

• RN license must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• OR experience required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team including providers, surgeons and surgical technologists.
