Job summary

Agrowing communications company seeks a Cable Technician with a blend of technical and soft skills and an understanding of electronics and electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and components. The role focuses on on-site cabling installations and potential final system activation.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, testing systems, troubleshooting, and training clients on system use while maintaining safety and rapport with customers. Shift starts 8 a.m.

Qualifications

• Understanding of electronics and electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and components.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients to install cabling on-site; may include final system activation
• Respond to repair calls
• Read blueprints and technical diagrams to determine how to best install the components and wiring
• Test all systems and troubleshoot any issues
• Teach the client how to use the system and maintain customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns and answering questions
• Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations
• Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
