Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Southwest Agg LLC in Chico, Texas is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy mobile equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot diverse systems to minimize downtime, while documenting work orders and collaborating with operations to improve fleet performance.

The role requires strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, plus a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mobile equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine service on heavy mobile equipment and support vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
• Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with operations personnel to identify equipment issues and improve fleet performance.

What Are We Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mobile equipment.
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, powertrains, and electrical systems.
• Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check. Must be able to meet all site access, safety training, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Work Environment Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
