Job summary

Larkin Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Full-Time Mental Health Technician (MHT) to provide essential behavioral health support in a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting in Hollywood, FL. The role focuses on assessing, treating, and supporting patients, ensuring safety and progress within individualized care plans.

The MHT will work closely with clinicians to monitor patient progress, provide emotional support, and contribute to a collaborative care environment aimed at improving outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Strong communication within a multidisciplinary team.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
• Preferred: Certification as Mental Health Technician; trauma-informed care training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patient observations and document behavioral changes.
• Assist in development and implementation of individualized treatment plans under clinical supervision.
• Provide direct support and crisis intervention to patients in distress.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to policies and procedures.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing training to enhance skills.
