Job summary

Ocala Health Surgical Assoc is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant to support exam preparation, room maintenance, injections, and phlebotomy. You will assist physicians with minor procedures and help manage patient flow, including answering calls and coordinating referrals.

Ideal candidates have an accredited Medical Assisting program or 12 months of direct clinical care, plus MA certification within a year if not already certified. Benefits are offered. No travel required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or 12 months of direct clinical patient care experience.
• Must obtain MA Certification within 12 months if not currently certified.
• Active and unrevoked MA certifications preferred (RMA/CCMA/CMA/NRMA/ABR-OE).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Set up exam rooms, prepare instruments, and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer and screen practice telephone calls.
