Job summary

A manufacturing company in Lakeland, Florida, is seeking a materials handler to supply various departments with necessary materials while managing inventory effectively. Candidates must have forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read and write in English. This role involves restocking materials, assisting with production, and maintaining cleanliness in storage areas. The hours are Monday through Friday from 4am to 12:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Supplies materials to all departments and returns unused materials.
  • Stages polyester from racks for the tape and web departments.
  • Restocks vapor barrier inventory for the JIM department.
  • Restocks totes of adhesive at mixing stations.
  • Supplies empty JPL pallets to the JIM department.
  • Assures movement of core bins/boxes in the JIM area.
  • Assists with housekeeping of finished goods storage.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

Job description

Monday through Friday: 4am - 12:30pm
General Responsibilities

This position supplies all departments with materials (RM & WIP). Removes & stores RM, WIP and FG. Removes trash. Sets up wire and assists with production as assigned.

Essential Duties
  1. Delivers various materials (i.e., insulation, polybags, cartons, core, etc.) and supplies to ALL departments, returning unused materials to designated area and puts them away in the proper location.
  2. Stages polyester from racks for the tape and web departments.
  3. Restocks vapor barrier (Jacket) inventory for the JIM department consisting of rolls, types and sizes as determined by production supervisor.
  4. Restock totes of adhesive at both mixing stations.
  5. Supplies empty JPL pallets to the JIM department.
  6. Assures the movement of core bins/boxes going into and out of the JIM Area.
  7. Assist with housekeeping of the finished goods storage area and the glass storage areas.
  8. All other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
