Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 for the day shift in San Jose, CA. This contract role requires assembling and troubleshooting complex systems, reading mechanical drawings, following detailed work instructions, and ensuring safe, efficient production.

You will work onsite in a manufacturing environment, handle precision measurement tools, and assist engineers to resolve issues while identifying safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in assembly and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Associates degree in technical engineering or experience in Technical Field Service preferred.
• Knowledge of hardware, software, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work practices including electrical safety, safe lifting techniques, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
• Follow work instructions to integrate subassemblies and components into the build of complex systems in preparation for functional testing.
• Read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Utilize precision measurement tools such as torque wrenches, DMMs, height standards, precision measurement tools, levels, and unique electronic data gathering tools as prescribed in work instructions.
• Disassemble and pack systems in preparation for shipment and delivery to customers.
• Write daily pass downs and store build data as directed.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and assist Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Identify improvement opportunities for safety, manufacturing processes, or 6S as they arise.
