Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Machine Operator Helper in Roanoke, VA. The role supports daily production operations on a 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shift with overtime as needed. Pay is $18 per hour with a focus on quality, safety, and teamwork.

The helper will back up the operator, feed boards into machines, inspect outputs, and assist with die mounting and set-up tasks. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read factory orders and follow work orders.
• Comfort with counting, inspection, and repetitive hand/wrist work.
• Physical readiness for standing, walking, and occasional bending or kneeling.
• Willingness to perform preventive maintenance and keep area clean.

Responsibilities

• Check quality and back up operator to keep production on track.
• Feed board into machines and support smooth operation.
• Inspect, count, and bundle items to meet work orders.
• Report deficiencies to the operator and follow instructions.
• Stack bales, fill top sheets, mount die boards and assisting with stripping dies.
