Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Machine Operator for the Day Shift in Houston, TX. The role runs 6:00am–2:00pm Monday through Friday with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour. You will set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment while ensuring parts meet specifications and quality is maintained.

You will read blueprints, adjust settings, perform pre-start checks, and document daily production and quality inspections. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
• Ability to work Monday-Friday.
• Experience as a Machine Operator a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of Production Procedures.
• Ability to Read Blueprints, Schematics and Manuals.
• Attention to Detail.
• Teamwork.
• Work Independently.
• Multitask.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machines following established procedures.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to select and position machinery.
• Adjust machine settings to meet specifications in a timely manner.
• Perform pre-operation checks and monitor equipment to ensure quality production.
• Complete daily production and quality inspections, and safety checks.
• Participate in safety programs and cross-train as needed.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with team for continuous production.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety controls.
