MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to render professional nursing care at the Ambulatory Clinic and to act as a patient advocate and liaison between physician and patient. The LVN will deliver care per regulatory standards while ensuring excellent customer service.

Under physician supervision, the LVN will document encounters, communicate effectively with providers, educate patients, and support care coordination while maintaining patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid California Vocational Nursing license.
• At least 1 year LVN clinical and administrative experience; recent MLKCH LVN candidates considered.
• IV and Blood Draw Certification required; BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Must handle confidential information; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Advocate for patients and protect patient rights.
• Use clinical judgment with patients, families and staff.
• Record and maintain documentation of tests and patient encounters.
• Explain procedures and coordinate scheduling urgency with physicians.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as required.
