Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an experienced Day Shift Machine Operator for our Dudley, NC Lumber Mill. You will operate lumber production equipment as part of a collaborative team to meet customer demand.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working 12-hour day shifts from 6 am to 6 pm, and coordinating with maintenance and operations staff. Candidates should have at least 1 year of manufacturing experience; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience or equivalent in a related field.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures in a moving equipment environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills to operate dimensional lumber equipment with a team to meet production goals.
• Collaborate with operations, reliability, mechanical, and electrical staff to identify and resolve machine center issues.
• Learn and apply preventative maintenance practices to improve machine reliability.
• Work in a non-climate controlled environment, lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks for long shifts.
