DAY SHIFT LOCAL LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE, L.V.N

Job Overview

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies, and state, federal, and local guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in and assists with the implementation of the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes such as room changes, LOA, new admits, discharges, etc.
• Provides family and patient education.
• Administers medications and treatments timely and according to facility policies.
• Receives, transcribes, and executes physician orders, if permitted by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in California.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in Long Term Care.
• PointClickCare charting experience.
