Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center, Inc. in Pocatello, ID seeks a day shift, full-time Labor & Delivery RN to provide direct care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum mothers and newborns.

You will work in LD rooms, triage or OR with a 1-2 patient ratio per AWHONN, report to the LD charge nurse and coordinate care with the team. Requirements include Idaho RN licensure and BLS; certifications NRP, STABLE, ACLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring within specified times.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• NRP within six months of hire.
• STABLE within 1 year of hire.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• Fetal Heart Monitoring certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery nurses provide direct care to antepartum, laboring or postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Care occurs in LD patient rooms, triage or operating room with 1-2 patient ratio per AWHONN guidelines.
• Nurse reports to the LD charge nurse.
• LD RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with providers and ancillary departments.
