Job summary

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team. This full-time day position runs Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM at the Downtown BMDA Building.

The RN will perform venipuncture and IV care, administer IV medications, monitor patients, and collaborate with Interventional Radiologists to provide compassionate oncology infusion care.

Qualifications

• Performs venipuncture, IV catheter insertion, and PICC line care.
• Calculates and administers IV medications.
• Recognizes signs of distress or reaction to meds.
• Obtains vital signs and coordinates care using the nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care plans with patient/family involvement.
• Educate patients and families about disease, treatment, and plan of care.
• Serve as patient advocate and assist Interventional Radiologists as needed.
• Deliver optimum care utilizing the nursing process and teamwork.
