Job summary

ManpowerGroup, a premier staffing and solutions provider, is seeking an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator in Michigan. The role supports production and quality assurance with a focus on accuracy and reliable performance.

The position features a daytime schedule from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, with some overtime and weekend work possible. Candidates should have a high school diploma and comfort with various sewing and cutting equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate different sewing machines and equipment.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Problem-solving skills to address operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and produce custom set-ups and orders in the sewing department using various equipment.
• Operate Gerber cutter to efficiently complete work orders, ensuring high-quality finished products.
• Layout and set-up patterns for athletic and staging cut-outs to minimize waste.
• Operate silk screening equipment to produce top-quality parts by selecting appropriate processes.
• Operate sewing machines to join or reinforce materials, detecting and correcting defects as needed.
