Job summary

Beloit Health System in Beloit, WI is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join the Engineering Team. The role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs on hospital systems, and preventative maintenance to keep facilities safe and functional.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in mechanics, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related maintenance, plus a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT licensure. On-site position with safety protocols in place.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mechanics, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain DOT licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hospital equipment, fixtures, and building systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical issues.
• Respond to maintenance service requests and emergency repairs as required.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
• Maintain HVAC systems as assigned.
• Repair doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, furniture, and other facility components.
• Document maintenance activities and completed work orders accurately.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
