Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to install, service, maintain and repair air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units across our facilities. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, system overhauls, and timely repairs.

You will work with the building management system, ensure safety, complete work orders, and support the energy management team. A high school diploma and four years related experience are required, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Training beyond high school in related programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs on HVAC systems.
• Performs seasonal overhauls and transitions of systems to and from heating/cooling.
• Participates in major component replacement and evaluation of complex system problems.
• Maintains knowledge of building management system and operates as systems operator.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes workplace safety.
• Completes work orders and records material used on jobs.
• May perform general maintenance and repair tasks as required.
