Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an Environmental Service Associate to clean patient rooms and public areas, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients and visitors. You will follow documented procedures, assist with linen distribution, and support daily hospital operations in a patient-centered setting.

Responsibilities include moving furniture as needed, operating cleaning equipment safely, and maintaining accuracy in work logs.

Qualifications

• No degree or diploma required.
• 16- and 17-year-olds may be considered with a valid work permit.
• 18-year-olds enrolled in high school do not need a diploma/work permit.
• HS diploma/GED preferred for individuals over 18 and not in high school.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, public areas and service areas as assigned.
• Move beds or furniture as needed to service customers or cleaning.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
• Stock carts and linen; distribute linen to assigned areas.
• Complete required paperwork to monitor departmental statistics.
• Provide high level customer service to patients and all customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet hospital cleanliness and safety standards.
