Job summary

Camelot Brookside Nursing & Rehabilitation in Jennings, LA is seeking a Floor Technician for the day shift to maintain floors and support housekeeping.

You will clean, strip, wax, buff floors, operate floor care equipment, vacuum carpets, and assist with resident room cleaning while adhering to infection control guidelines.

Great attention to detail and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required; prior healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in floor care or housekeeping, healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean, strip, wax, buff, and polish floors throughout the facility.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain carpets through vacuuming, shampooing, and spot cleaning.
• Follow infection control, safety, and OSHA guidelines.
• Report maintenance concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Administrator or Maintenance Director.
