Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Forming Operator C for the Livingston Forming department. The role requires following safety procedures and familiarization with cutting, printing, and gluing machines as well as folding boxes and trays. Trainees must recognize faulty boxes and maintain basic operations.

The position involves safety gear, learning to operate handling equipment, and adherence to workplace and SQF standards. Shift is 3a-3p, Monday through Thursday with possible Fridays.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Familiar with job jackets and basic machine operation concepts.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate powered equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Start and stop the machine; remove paper jams.
• Feed and inspect cartons for quality control.
• Learn make-ready procedures for the line.
• Learn to navigate and troubleshoot glue systems.
