Job summary

WorkSmart Staffing in Piedmont, SC is seeking a Drive-Ford-Forklift Operator for 1st shift. The role uses sit-down forklifts to move, stack, and transport materials across production and warehouse areas, with pre-shift inspections and safety procedures mandatory.

You will perform inventory scanning, follow 5S standards, and support EHS-compliant operations. The position offers hourly pay of $20, with a schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:15 PM, and frequent 10-hour shifts, up to six or seven days per

Qualifications

• Safety-focused operators who follow all plant and EHS procedures and work in a compliant, professional manner.
• Ability to read procedures and safety documents and follow operating instructions.
• Experience with sit-down forklift operation and familiarity with attachments/equipment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate gasoline or electric forklift and related equipment to move and position materials safely.
• Stage loads to correct locations following lift/placement procedures and equipment stability requirements.
• Complete pre-shift inspections, follow shutdown/parking procedures, and report any issues.
• Perform inventory-related tasks including scanning, labeling, and reconciling as required.
