Job summary

Abacus Staffing in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking skilled Forklift Operators for a fast-paced distribution center. You will operate various forklifts (Reach Truck, Order Picker, Electric Pallet Jack) and other material handling equipment to move goods efficiently.

RF scanners will be used for inventory control, with safety protocols followed at all times. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to shipping/receiving procedures, with a first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:15 PM and overtime

Qualifications

1 year forklift experience required.
Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes preferred.
Experience using RF scanners for inventory management.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, sit-downs and electric pallet jacks to move products throughout the warehouse.
Load and unload shipments efficiently while ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving processes.
Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and tracking purposes.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain optimal workflow and meet daily operational goals.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean warehouse environment.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while operating equipment.
