Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Wakefield, NE, seeks a forklift operator to support production by moving materials, loading and unloading, and keeping the area clean.

This first-shift role runs 6:00am–3:30pm, Monday through Saturday, with overtime as needed. You will follow GMP, safety and quality procedures, operate the forklift, assist with labeling and packing, and help maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced food production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.

Responsibilities

• Complete forklift pre-use check before operation.
• Set up processing area as needed.
• Transport products and materials to/from production area.
• Assist in labeling, packing and loading finished products.
• Assist in keeping production areas clean and sanitized.
• Report any product or material damage to supervisor.
• Follow safety, GMP and regulatory requirements at all times.
• Work weekends and overtime as needed.
