Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is hiring a janitor to maintain cleanliness in offices and production areas, following sanitation schedules and safety protocols. The role involves managing cleaning supplies, reading safety labels, and ensuring compliance with BBP and other guidelines.

You will participate in team activities, support BEST practices, and perform additional duties as needed during the 1st shift (Mon-Fri 7a–3:30p). PPE will be worn as required.

Qualifications

• Maintains a clean work area following sanitation schedules across offices, bathrooms and break-rooms.
• Reads safety labels and follows procedures to reduce exposure to hazardous substances.
• Works with team to support BEST practices and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of offices and production areas according to sanitation schedule.
• Manage chemicals and cleaning supplies inventory and communicate levels to manager to prevent shortages.
• Participate in team meetings and support cross-functional teamwork to align with company policies.
• Follow Simmons' operating systems principles and participate in continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support business objectives.
• Wear appropriate PPE and operate safely (footwear, hearing protection, hair net, safety glasses, dust mask).
• Shift: 1st Shift; Hours: Mon-Fri 7a-3:30p.
