Job summary

Baptist Health South is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform corrective and preventive maintenance across Baptist Primary Care facilities. The role supports interior and exterior building upkeep, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and related tasks to keep locations safe and functional for patients and staff.

The position requires hands-on experience, the ability to prioritize requests, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced health care environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general building or facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting and general building repairs.
• Basic experience with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with painting, drywall, carpentry, doors, hardware, and general facility repairs.
• Ability to independently identify maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs.

Responsibilities

• Performs corrective and preventive maintenance through scheduled and non-scheduled work orders.
• Performs general interior and exterior building maintenance and repairs at offices and multi-tenant buildings.
• Troubleshoots and repairs general building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and correct facility issues.
• Maintains and repairs building equipment, fixtures, doors, hardware, walls, ceilings, and other facility components.
• Performs general maintenance including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work as needed.
• Responds to facility maintenance requests and completes repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Performs detailed repair work as assigned and other related maintenance duties as needed.
