Job summary

Tallwoods Care Center in Bayville, NJ is hiring a Porter for the 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM shift. This full-time role focuses on keeping common areas clean, maintaining hallways and outdoor spaces, and supporting the housekeeping and maintenance teams.

You will collect and dispose of trash, assist with moving furniture, perform light maintenance, and help ensure a safe, organized environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous porter, housekeeping, or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and outdoor spaces.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Assist with setting up rooms and moving furniture or equipment as needed.
• Perform light maintenance and report repair needs.
• Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and safe.
• Support the housekeeping and maintenance teams as needed.
