Job summary

University of Maryland, Baltimore seeks a DAY SHIFT Environmental Services (EVS) Custodial Manager to join the Department of Facilities Operations. You will evaluate, train, coach and schedule staff, participate in hiring, and ensure service quality and compliance with standards in your area.

You will supervise EVS technicians, monitor daily operations, prepare reports, and drive improvements in cleanliness, cost control and customer satisfaction while upholding UMB core values of Respect,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED. Six (6) years of progressively responsible related experience or substitutable education/experience.
• Two (2) years of management/leadership level experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, trains, coaches and schedules staff as needed.
• Participates in hiring and delivers progressive discipline when required.
• Provides visual inspection and service quality assurance in areas of responsibility.
• Monitors work in progress to ensure timely service and standards.
• Supervises EVS Techs and assigns duties to maintain cleanliness and order.
• Prepares reports and recommends improvements in quality, cost control and satisfaction.
